Welcome to Cookpole Energy Action (CEA)

“Committed to reducing our carbon footprint, our fossil fuel use and our energy costs”

What is CEA?

We are a not-for-profit organisation formed in July 2009 by residents of the parishes of Cookley and Walpole in north east Suffolk.

We recognise that individual households and businesses can do a lot to reduce their carbon footprints and that many have already begun. But we also believe that action at the level of the community is important - in our case that is a community of around 150 households.

What are we Doing?

Our main project at the moment is a community wind power scheme. Find out more about the project.

We are holding regular meetings, which anyone can attend, we would be glad if you came along

Dates and times of future meetings are available on our events calendar, you'll also find minutes of previous meetings there.
