Cookpole Community Wind Power Project
Our plans for a community wind power scheme are very simple. We plan to install two medium sized wind turbines in the parish. We will feed all the electricity generated into the grid. The community will receive an income for this electricity according to the new ‘feed-in’ tariff, which came into force in April 2010. The income will be spent on carbon reduction projects in the community. The whole scheme will be managed by a charitable Trust, or similar not-for-profit organisation.
